Yala National Park takes second place from the popularity of National Parks in Sri Lanka. This Park has 5 parts. Among them, two parts are open to the public. It is located 300km away from Colombo and spreads over 979 square kilometers. There are 6 national parks and 3 wildlife sanctuaries close to Yala. Yala has 215 bird species and six endemic species of Sri Lanka. 44 mammals are recorded by Yala National Park and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. With these rare plants, trees, and animals you can get an amazing experience.
