Galle Fort

Galle Fort is one of the heart touched place of tourists in Sri Lanka. It is a historical, archeological and architectural heritage of Sri Lanka. It was constructed by Portuguese in 1588. Galle Fort is designated as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO. This wonderful place explores European architecture and South Asian traditions well. So, lots of tourists never forget to visit this place. The amazing sun rising scenery surely catch your eyes.

Koggala sea turtle farm

A non-profitable organization continuing with the aim of protecting and conserving sea turtles. There are many varieties of sea turtles. Sick and injured sea turtles are in the tanks and eggs are conserving keeping under sand. The hatchlings are keep in tanks for one month and release them to the sea. Most of the times eggs are buying from fishermen.

Koggala Lake

Enjoying the boat ride for two three hours in Koggala Lake is one of the most popular activity to do in southern province.  There are boat services from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00p.m. That can carry 6 persons for a ride. There is some small island to visit in Koggala Lake. And there is old temple famous for nice paintings and for meditation in the Temple Island. Nice scenery of Birds all around the lake.

Handunugoda Tea Factory

Virgin White Tea Factory is located in Galle, Sri Lanka. It takes 30 minutes to travel from Galle Fort to Handungoda Tea Factory. Sometimes it will be the closest tea plantation to the sea in the world. This is not the only thing the Handungoda Tea Factory special. Here, the process of tea plucking follows an ancient Chinese Ritual. Virgin White Tea is identified as the healthiest tea in the world. This white tea is one of the most expensive tea in the world fetching at over $1500 per kilo. Here, you can see the process of tea and fresh with strong tea.

Stick Fishing

Fishing while you sitting with the help of pole that is attached with a crossbar is called Stilt Fishing. Southern cost is the most famous for this. Mirissa, Koggala, Kaththaluwa and Ahangama mainly focus on this.. Fishermen catch small fish using rods and store them in a bag tied on the pole or to their waist. Man should need a good balance for this activity.
